Best Way To Organize Base?

I have thousands of base cards from the 80's till present in hockey, baseball, football, and basketball. I am sure this has been asked before, but I am desperate. I need an easy and quick way to store/organize all the cards. I am importing them all first to Zistle, but don't know what to do with them after that. I have a few binders and shoe boxes, and would like to keep this low budget. If anyone has any ideas or photos or videos I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

donate them to hospitals ;) i would donate all 88-90's baseball to hospitals, schools etc. nothing special to keep.. except for Griffey Jr maybe :)

I keep all my base sorted by team and sport in shoeboxes. easiest way for me . some of the better base/inserts i keep in binders .

nothing special to you perhaps but some people like them.

Like you said though, I would keep in boxes separated by sport, then year, then brand then team. I'm not sure if it is quick and easy but once it's done it should be easy to maintain and access.

It depends on what your ultimate goal is. If you plan on trading, selling, giving away some of them your best bet is to sort them out by team and look for team collectors to deal them too. You can also pull out the superstars incase anyone wants to trade for them as well. If you are keeping them for you PC I prefer to sort all of my cards regardless of sport by player position.

There is no such thing as a bad idea. They are your cards so you are free to do with them as you please. I collect base cards for IP/TTM autos as well as for rookies and players in my sig. They make up a good portion of my collection and I love them.

Team is one way. I prefer to organize mine by year, brand, and set numbers because I trade more with set collectors than team collectors.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. As of right now, I don't plan on trading any cards and probably will be using them for TTM. If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to post. Also, if I put my cards in shoeboxes, is there any way to make a divider?

I organize my commons by sleeves, year, brand, and number. I have various sites that I use to find the cards I need and look them up. I store my cards in plastic shoe boxes with self-made dividers. My #ed/expensive/auto'ed cards are in sleeves and toploaders in boxes. My autographed cards, whether in-person or TTM, are in 9 pocket plastic sheets in binders.
