Ranting & Raving
So I am having an awful day at work and something just struck a cord with me.
I went to my local card shop last week because I was craving busting some wax. Every so often this happens. I stroll on in and dont know what to buy. I spotted an ope box of Sweet Spot with 2 packs out of it. I'm thinking that the odds are in my favor so I will just buy em until I hit an auto. Well at $10 per pack I hope I hit one early. 10 packs later and one miesrable Mark Bradley jersey later I am livid. This just proves that they allow someone to search the boxes when buying. I was questioning this until I saw them let a guy come in and do it.
They run a questionable operation beacuse of that and their prices are pretty darn high. $50 for a mini box of Topps Finest? I should have learned but I guess I have now.
Thanks for letting me rant. I dont know if this day could get any worse.

I hear you. You have to be very careful about the shops you buy open packs from. I won't buy any higher dollar packs from a shop until I have been going there for a while and have gained confidence in the owner's business practices.

I hear ya. I only buy the cheap wax any more, stuff like Topps Total or the base issues. It's at the point now where I'd rather buy a complete set of '87 Donruss Baseball than three packs of new cards with no value after the packs are opened!
