wickabee, you are forgetting the dems ruled the house and senate for the last 2 years of bush. the first year they took over bush was badgered for there being a 5.2 unemployment rate, where did it go from there? so the mess was not purely on the republicans, but they helped.
after bush who would have had a chance on the republican side? nobody
i don't think things are looking good this time either, but there are a few things i would love to see happen in 2016
and
veg, no i couldn't say that with a straight or any other face!

Oh, I know. The design was the Republicans' (read: Not Bush per se) and the Democrats shot themselves in the foot.
The Republicans knew they didn't stand a chance against Obama in '08, so they put up joke candidates and focused all energy on tearing Obama down. The Democrats would have done the same if they didn't think Gore could beat Bush (and then they were cocky with Kerry for some reason...if Gore couldn't beat him the first time, why would a Gore clone beat him the second time). I'm not saying one is any better than the other, but the Republicans planned this particular "economic downturn" so they stood a chance against Obama this year...and look, it's worked!

No, I think they saw it coming and did nothing to stop it for a reason.
Comparable to the Iraq war. I think the Republicans wanted a war in Iraq. I think they saw the 9/11 attacks coming and did nothing to stop them, knowing that they could turn it into a war. DO I think Bush and Cheney had anything to do with the planning and execution of the attacks? Not for a second, but I believe they saw it coming and did nothing to stop it so they could use it.
Just like the economy.
And yes, that means I don't think they give a damn about you or your family. But that's from my perch up here in Canada. My vision may be clouded by syrup

nope, and if you had been around here 4 years ago you would have seen my calling out bush plenty of times. that is not the same is saying he knew 9-11 was coming and let it happen so he could justify war. your statement is ridiculous. no one said bush was perfect and obama was all wrong like your statement implies. i simply shook my head at the idea put forth by wickabee.
for the record, since you are mister all of nothing, could we find a single post of yours on here that criticized a single thing obama has done? i would bet not. because for all of your bluster when people defend bush, you are 100% supportive of every single decision obama has ever made. stop accusing others of bias just to hide your own.

I said on many occasions I hate the fact that our president is pro-abortion or pro-choice like some of you like to call it. Obama is by no means my God he is only my elected representative.
