Ebay Seller Question

Im about to start listing cards on Ebay. I have some higher end cards that Im going to list. Ive seen some sellers use the option submitt best offer. I went to try it out and can not find that option. Anyone know where Im missing it at?

It's only available with "Buy It Now" Cards and a check box is available for "Best Offers" when you put the BIN price. That is your best bet as you are still a relative newbie especially for a seller.

Has anyone ever used this method of selling on Ebay. How was it compared to listing it with a reserve or starting your bid at your selling price?

I use it all the time. Not sure what the results will be like if your feedback is weak, though. Here is how I do it; in the listing I state that no Best Offers will be considered before the final day of the auction. This gives you 6 days to sell at your full price. Some people, of course, ignore this request and some people will offer moronically low amounts, but I find it a good selling tool personally.

My experience is depending on what you really want for the card. I get alot of Stupid Lowballers as well so the Best Offer sometimes doesn't work.

Well my feedback is in the 30s but i buy some higher end cards. I have bought a lot more but sometimes crappy sellers dont leave feedback. But anyways Im planning to list the cards for 1/3 + $5 to see if I can get it but have the $5 to play with. Im looking to get 1/3 of BV on them. They are GU of players mainly like Aaron, Mays, Nolan Ryan, Ozzie Smith, Cal Ripken, ect. Ive only sold twice on Ebay and got what I wanted but they werent players of this caliber. Any help will be greatful on tips of how to list cards of this caliber.

I usually search for simlar cards on ebay and put it on my watch list. This way I can keep track on how much its been going for. I hate the fees so I do my homework before I list it. If similar cards have been selling at a price I want then I just list it low and let the auction start. There is no guarentee that you card will sell like the ones before yours but you will have an idea of where it will end. Always good to study the day and time it ends too so you know when to start and when yours will end. I also do this because I'm in need to sell. If you want a certain price then list a BIN option.

I usually list on Sunday afternoon/nights because most people are home at that time. I went and found the cards that I could and most of them are selling around the price Im wanting so I plan on listing the BIN about $5 over what the other ones have sold for. Most of them arent listed on Ebay or listed in the finished section so I hope that helps my cause.
