Crappy ending, but I guess that's how she goes sometimes.

did you have a bad feeling right from the start ? first couple of messages ?
Trust your belly, if something stinks right from the start, stop it before you lose any more nerves.
Was your card a SPA FW AU redemption ?
I am on your side, to me a trade needs to be even or close especially in terms of SV. If someone comes up to you on the street and offers you 20$ and asks for 50$ out of your pocket, what will you do ?

One of my moto is that when I start getting to much negotiation going and a deal is not being sealed, then I just say I will pass and move on. I mena if after a few PM nothing is agreed the why should I spend my time just to end up with a situation like yours. To me it Strike one, two, three your out and it work well. Some enjoy this type of dealing but to me if you do want my cards and can't accept what I want, then I don't have to deal with you. I think all that traded with me will agree that I do not try to negotitate and more often then not a few PM and the trade is posted or either one pass. I just don't get into long negotiation. So I don't mind to make change to initial offer but after two change if the third one does not do it I move on.
If I have a bad feeling. I say no thanks and move on. I am always polite and ususally say why I pass and this normaly work well and often the next time around this same member come, we land a deal. I guess the more you play their game, the more they will play it.

For me, it's hard to hide that emotional involvment with a card I desire. I often write that I really want this or that, and I suppose it show's I'm not there for making money out of it, but a collection that more represents your likes and interests. I also have to communicate in a language that is not my primary one, so it's a learning thing too.
