    Frustrating Panini redemption experience

As some of you know, one of my PC players is Robin Lehner. So, I've been waiting for several months for six Dominion autographed rookies to arrive since they were a redemption in this year's product.

I went home at lunch today and checked our mail, and I was very excited to find six envelopes from Panini. I thought, great, my Lehner redemptions are in! Upon opening the first envelope, however, I found a letter apologizing for not being able to fill the redemption and offering instead a replacement of equal or greater value. In this case, it was a Zdeno Chara Dominion auto/jersey /50. Very disappointing, but I understand these things happen. I figured, may as well see what else they sent me...and here's why I'm frustrated:

Package 2 - Chara auto /50, Brett Connolly jersey card
    Package 3 - A second Chara auto/jersey /50
Package 4 - A second Chara auto /50, Johanssen jersey card
    Package 5 - A third Chara auto/jersey /50
    Package 6 - A fourth Chara auto/jersey /50

Really, Panini? Instead of sending me a variety of cards to make up for not providing my cards, or at least giving me some kind of choice, you send me four copies of one card and two of another? I'm not expecting high-value cards since Lehner isn't Marty Brodeur, but this seems like a pretty lazy effort at replacement.

I'm not sure if there's much I can do about this now, but I just wanted to vent a little.

Wow, honestly that's brutal. That almost rivals some of the UD redemption stories I've heard. If I were you I would definitely call Panini and ask if something can be done. I don't know if they realized that they sent that many packages containing the same cards to one person. Plus a friendly phone call never hurt anyone :D

So they sent you redemptions without contacting you? Or you requesting them? That seems wrong. I'd ask why they sent you replacements that you didn't ask for (I assume), and why they didn't contact you first.

No, I wasn't contacted at all about possible replacements, and I assumed until opening the envelopes that they contained my Lehner stuff.

I'm going to try contacting them, and see if there's anything I can do. My fingers are crossed!

Honestly they sent you 5 of the same Chara jersey card! that really sucks dude. Get on the phone with them I mean that's terrible. It must be somebodies sick joke at the redemption centre at Panini!

I think that card companies take advantage of consumers because they realize that well over half of their customers are kids, and have little legal recourse unless an adult pursues the case.

This redemption nonsense has gone on long enough, it's high time for some Legal Action.

I hope we see singular and or class-action against these companies. The BBB warnings don't mean anything to them. They need to be hit in the pocketbook.

Why do you all keep buying? Really, why?
