I think that card companies take advantage of consumers because they realize that well over half of their customers are kids, and have little legal recourse unless an adult pursues the case.
I haven't seen a kid buying packs of cards in a shop in the past 15 years. What shops are selling cards to kids nowdays? None?

While I usually think that Centrhice's opinions are a bit drastic, I completely agree with this one. When I came back to the hobby and pulled my first redemption, I was mad. They have no purpose other than to justify a coompany putting out an incomplete and sub-par product.
If there were no redemptions, there would be no redemption replacements, and consumers would generally be happier(or at least more content).
At this point, lawsuits may be the way to go.

12-22 years of age.
There are at least 15-20 Fourteen-Sixteen year olds that trade on this Hockey site on a regular basis, perhaps more. All of them are buying, all the time

lol I understand all the same cards coming back is a bit of a suprise (and a bad one since you don't pc him) but you did redeem 6 cards of the same player. If those were the cards deemed as replacements for the Lehner cards it might just be that simple.
then again, after my experiences with the Panini redemption program it could just be the same amount of care they have put into every other redemption

You're right, that's exactly the explanation I received from Panini. They tried to find a card of equal or greater value, and used the same card(s) since I had redeemed six of the same.
They have been very gracious about my complaint, and have offered to replace the Charas with others.

I had a bad experience with Panini redemptions too, I pulled a 2010-11 Certified Mirror Red #195 Mattias Tedenby JSY AU /100 redemption and I waited about a year for it to come. So I finnaly called asking where it is and they said the card was never produced and they said they'll send a replacment card equal to the value of the original card. The package finally showed up 8 months later and it was the Tedenby. If I never called I probaly would never gotten the card or a replacment card. It took nearly 2 years for a redemption that should come in 4 months. Shame on you Panini. I'm going to stick to Upper Deck.
