"I'd rather have a card I could electrocute myself with than one I could hang myself with". It's just getting that stupid already.

That is actually an awesome idea! That would have made it sweet!

It'd be rare enough and cool enough, enough of a high end hit with a patch auto /10, and then combine that part of them signing the card is something unique. I have quite a few ideas like this though, in my idea book, all a company needs to do is ask me :P

What they could have done is make the card include some sort of exclusive content and at least have it autographed.

Upper Deck DOES know that there's this thing called the "Internet", right? No? Oh, ok then. Seriously, though. This looks like something that was made in the mid-late 90's. What's next, include an audio cassette of songs that You the collector can choose? Yes, that's right! YOU pick the songs, we record them direct onto a genuine audio cassette tape!! YOU will have your own and totally unique, "UD Mix-Tape"!!

Or how about when you pull the card of a player, he makes you a mix tape? Very personal, very High Fidelity.

I'll echo what the majority of posters think: I don't have any interest in a video card. This is the first time I've had cause to complain about something UD has designed for the Cup. Sure it's different but no longer a "sportcard" IMO. We'll see how it fares with collectors over time, but I'll not be chasing them. Perhaps it'll do better with the "younger crowd" who likes newer technology but are these the people buying the Cup at $400+/tin? As with most electronics, I wouldn't be surprised if the video stopped working within a few years, then UD will have some REALLY happy customers on its hands...

Actually, not that new. Last year, Panini did these video cards for basketball and I believe football. They were a major flop, to say the least...however, I believe certain versions of them were autographed.
