I see were your coming from 9Nick0, and if you ever get any Ravens cards, Id be more than happy to trade with ya, that is if I have anything youd need.
But I also have to agree heavily with Bonds25. You are just reading someones typed words. Which to you may come out as aggressive, or rude or disrespectful, but that person may just be in a bad mood, and not really meaning to "blow up" at you. Ive wrote/typed things before that I thought were ok. Then I go back to read it, and I cant beleive I actually said/typed something it like that (and it was b/c of my mood/situation, and not the person Im talking/trading with at all!!)
So maybe in your case, this person was being a jerk....but not everyone who "seems" to be snappy/rude really are.
I know Im probably just rambling senslessly to you guys, but figured Id like to voice my opinion.

I'm saying that you shouldn't say the whole site is at fault when one person got you frustrated.

Something everyone needs to keep in mind when participating in SCF or most any other forum--you are dealing with the public. You know what that means if you have a job dealing with the public. Most people are very nice, ethical and well-mannered but every now and then you run into some people who are not so nice. Sometimes they don't mean to come across as rude and misunderstandings occur all the time. Sometimes things get clarified and settled and everyone is happy. Other times, people overreact, mountains get made out of molehills and authority figures are needed to step in. Some of our younger members (and older members, too) need to be reminded of SCF rules from time to time and need prodding to maintain a good rep on SCF (my son included). Some also don't need reminding and actually are shining examples of model SCF members. Sometimes if they maintain a great SCF rep for an extended period of time, they even get invited to join the staff. And of course, if they fail to maintain a good SCF rep, then they face the consequences (e.g. negative feedback, "I must send first" tags under their name, suspension of SCF account, bans, etc.) which hurt their ability to enjoy this hobby.
I say let people express their opinion but without violating any SCF rules. Just like our country has a Free Speech amendment but we cannot slander/libel/offend anyone or otherwise abuse our free speech rights without facing consequences, correct?
Just be thankful that you are part of one of the better trading forums around and that we don't have total anarchy here. As a forum, that is open to any member of the public who is 13 years of age or older, we'll always have our share of disgruntled, oversensitive members. Even though we do have our share of disagreements among SCF members, it's less than what goes on in some families, some teams, our jobs, etc. So things could be worse--but they're not. Just ask any former/current Beckett member. Sorry for the long read, but I figured this might help put the situation into perspective. As always, if you believe an SCF member is out of line, then notify a staff member either by PM or by reporting the post. Just click on the "Report Bad Post" icon on the left side. (It's the red-bordered white triangle with an exclamation point in the middle.)

One other thing you have to remember is that there are some very immature people on the site reguardless of age. We've had people that were 64 act 8 and then there are also 13, 14 year olds that act like adults. Sometimes, you just have to take comments with a grain of salt.

I do, I don't get too worked up over anything, I could care less if somebody doesnt want to trade with me, I just wish they wouldn't get bent out of shape over cards, I don't know if money plays an issue, or if some people on here are only trading to sell on ebay, but there are alot of people on here just trying to collect thier favorite players.

Hey nick I didnt read all the post on this thread so if someone has said this then EXCUSE ME!. People tend to get thier panties in a bunch on here a lot. However it is really hard to tell how someone meant thier comment. Text has got to be the worst way of having a conversation because like I said sarcasim and what not doest come through. If this jerk @#$ wants to be a child then dont deal with him anymore. Dont let one a@# crack ruin your trading. For the most part everyone on here is really cool and really easy to deal with.
Later!
