does anyone know the deal with the statuses of UFA and the rookie contracts? I have a feeling the NHL left that out of their statement because it was what they wanted and not the players...even then though, looks like a huge milestone
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

NHLPA conf call has ended. Nothing certain, but a counter proposal is expected in next 24-48 hrs.

Counter Proposal?
Not good. That means the players losing the original 7% they had above 50/50 is about to go lower. If the League has to counter-propose when offered a more than lucrative 50/50, then the season is DONE, and perhaps future seasons.
Expect to see weekend warrior scrub/scabs playing for $50.00 per game come 2014 and $5.00 tickets.

It's completely wrong to find good an offer that includes ton of details that we don't know. These details can basically ajust the 50/50 ratio into something completely different. It's clearly a mediatic high-impact offer, letting the NHLPA carry the burden of explaining the details to everyone, witch is a pain in our days of drop the puck, come on!
Also, the real issue here is the result of an offer like that over the next 5 or more years. The revenue split is an easy to understand ghost for public relations and media. As of now, nobody can comment about the results of something we don't know in details, so people at the corners of the internet writing that it's a good offer are not better than republicans or democratics spin-offers.

im not holding my breath. I can see both sides of the issue here. However back in the last lockout that took the whole season, neither sides were talking. Im at the least very happy that proposals are being made from one side to the other.

Yeah, I had air, hotels, and two games in Montreal all planned and paid for. Oct 25-28th, they screwed me, and I will not be the loyal fan I have been the last 41 years!
I won't be happy with these fools (both sides) for a very long time.
