Ebay Problem,i Need Advice
got a email about 10 minutes ago from a buyer i sent cards too....he says the cards came back all dented and twisted and complete "junk". I took 4 pictures of the cards for the auction to prove they were in excellent condition, sent them in a bubble mailer with delivery confirmation........he says it looked like something heavy sat on it.......so i need to know what can happen and what u guys would personally do...he has asked for a refund, but i dont think that is right considering my product was packaged properly and it if it was damaged its the post offices liability

Out of curiousity, how much did they go for?
And another thing I have noticed (a little OT...) I have recieved many cards from ebay guys poorly shipped...no bubbly envelopes, etc

Yes, if you can prove that the cards where in the condition stated in your auction then he can't come after you. If he dind't buy insurance for the package, that is his fault. You are not liable for what is out of your hands.

No offense to you because it can happen to anyone, but anytime I'm shipping over 5 cards, I put the cards in a box... Over 5 cards and I feel that bubble mailers become useless due to being overpacked...
I sold 120GU/AU back in June and did the following:
all cards in penny sleeves and top loaders (Please say you shipped in top loaders!!!), then 5 cards to a bubble mailer, and they then went into a medium priority mail box.
Cost me $7.50 (I think) with Delivery Confirmation and Insurance of $330..
I now ONLY SHIP with Priority mail... For one thing, it is a safer bet to me... Just put the top loaded card into a bubble mailer, then slide into priority envelope... Sure, it costs more, but it is definitely safer, especially with DC.

if it's insured he'll have to take the cards to the PO and file a claim. You have tracking numbers so if he files a paypal claim you're covered.
Definately work with him though to assist, but I think he will have to head it up because he has the product. Definately don't give him a refund or let him return the cards since there is insurance.
