Because the patches are to good to be true they may be Cuts were the Owner cuts out the original Jersey and replaces it with a newer Patch like a 3 color or 4 color instead of the original plain jersey

I don't trust this stuff. $6 a pack, and it seems like someone pulls something bling each time they get one.
I almost wonder if this stuff will be the new Reflections. If you don't know what I'm talking about, pick up a Beckett and check out what Reflections GU'ed are going for. Then you'll understand.

theyre the latest craze in the hobby - oversized patch cards. for the most part, they should all look like that at $6 a pack. you can thank absolute memorabilia and upper deck super patch for starting this craze.

Is it just me or does the Terrence Newman card look like it has a tear around the patch?
I also agree with Craigerman, ebay is flooded with these things. Just look at the completed listings, and that's just for 2005, just 05 brings up 1500 more.

The patches are glued on and all those are very legit...
As for the cards, the number of patches for each jersey is relatively high... Sometimes you luck out and get a nice centered 4 color patch, but then you might get lots of jersey with very little 2 color patch...
Also, being that most of these patches are #'ed below 75, and they are using jerseys from previous teams, they definitely have more than enough fabric to work with...
Also, the name plate patches are the new thing in the hobby... I sprung just over $200 for a 05 Leaf Limited FB John Elway letterman patch, the E.... #'ed 5... The Roeths are going for a decent amount of money too...
Oversized GU are not what they used to be, oversized patches is where it is at... Plus, remember, most of the people selling on Ebay are not just buying packs (Stupid in my eyes, but I still do it), they are busting boxes and cases... You are bound to hit it good sometimes... My card shop busted a case of SPx Hockey, had to be one hell of a hot case because they came up with the Prucha, Ovechkin, and Crosby Auto/Patch all within the same damn case.... If UD did hot boxes, I'd say this was the reason, but DLP is the only one that really does hot boxes, and I believe Gridiron Gear has a hot box ratio of 2 per case...
