i wouldnt throw them under the bus just yet. i personally witnessed a friend bust a hot box and hit these:
antrelle rolle oversized patch- 4colors from the arizona flag logo on the arm of the jsy
hines ward oversized name plates. almost the full 20% of the top of the "A" and "R" from his name plate
brandon lloyd oversized patch- 4 color huge piece of a number i think
vernand morency oversized nameplate- 3 color huge piece of number i guess
4 other basic jsy cards- all white(kind of ironic after those pulls)
i guess they just load them up. i'm not saying the ones you are questioning are real as someone could take advantage and insert anything in place of a single color jsy but donruss has inserted some nice patches in this product. just my opinion as always

i'm sure that there are some people out there that are trying to attach patches and sell them as the real thing, but i think the majority of them are real.

i mean, you say about how many patch cards there are of the same player..... they're using jerseys from the past several years...

for example almost all the stephen davis cards that i've seen from this set are of Redskins jsys and he hasn't even been on the redskins since 2001. so say they're using 6 jsys a year(cuz all the other companies get their share too) for the past 5 years... that's 35 jsys of stephen davis from JUST the panthers and they're also using redskins jsys. for example Peyton manning.... he's been in the leage for like 7 full seasons.... u know how many jsys they prolly have stored up of his to put on these cards??!! TONS! so, although there are almost definately people who are trying to scam and put fake patches on, all the ones from Donruss are LEGIT..... IMO lol

GU is generally pants/jersey/base/ball/floor...

Patch is generally a piece of the number, emblems, insignias, and colored sections of jerseys, such as the silk screening (Not really silk screening, like a rubbery paint type stuff).... Also, patches can also be laundry tags, etc, or as DLP states, the "Prime" pieces of the jersey.
