So what do we all think about this?

Supposedly if you look on ebay, someone is selling the 2006 Topps Wal Mart Exclusives Boxes of Topps, claiming that these are the boxes that had the full alex gordon rc's in them. has anyone gotten that information? Is it true? if you know anything lmk so i can go buy my wal mart out thanks. i want to pull this card, but not for resale. i just think it will go down as a great variant card to own.

    Look at this beckett article.

It says the guy pulled it from a Jumbo HTA box. Which if I'm not mistaken means a HOBBY box.

prophet - i think what will happen is that there are super master set collectors of the base topps set. they do everything, the autos the parallels etc. they'll pay for this card, and they'll continue to pay for this card. as far as a known sp? theres only been 5 up for sale total so far (i think), so i think it will be safe to say this card will be found in very limited issue, possibly no more than 50 or so when its all said and done.

I have a friend who broke a box of it last weekend. He bought a box from Walmart (one of their exclusives) and did indeed pull a full Gordon out of it.
As for there being something special to those boxes in particular for this card, I cannot say. I would probably doubt that they all are in any one particular type, but you never know.

lol He did. He's the one who sold his for $717. He's a diehard set builder so it killed him to do it, but he couldn't pass up the dough to pay for his card purchases for a year.
