While this is partially true...he should have emailed prior to bidding. You just can't assume the seller isn't a first-rate doorknob. But he's wasting his own time now by having to clean up the mess. No sympathy for the seller's time, he gets what he deserves here.

Truthfully what I like to do is just find auctions ending soonest and look for good deals. I bid on both of those with less than ten minutes left. I did notice the shipping prices but figured that it has to be a typo. I did not message the seller as most likely I would not have got a reply back that quickly.
On another note I did call ebays customer service number tonight to report him. He is suspended on there effective immediately.

Thought I had seen it all!
During my daily search for PC cards, I stumbled upon an auction selling the "rights" to an AOL email/messaging name. For a mere, $3.33 you could buy the rights to use the email address: [email protected]
Checking the sellers other items it seems he is selling quite a few AOL addresses. I've heard of this being done for movies where word leaks out that Hollywood is making a movie, someone learns the title, buys the domain name and sells it back to the studio. However, this is the first time I've ever seen it for sports. I will be real surprised if any of them sell.Hidden Content
Collecting: Hidden Content (95% complete) / Hidden Content (88.4% complete) / Eric Lindros (35% complete) / Ilya Kovalchuk (45% complete)...and to a lesser extent...Hidden Content (65% complete) / Hidden Content (48% complete) / Brian Propp (70% complete)

People tried this in 99-00, and for some it worked. and by 2003 all of them were sued for Cyber-Squatting.
A French National, who lived in the same building as I did in San Francisco, owned the original rights to the URL: Ooh-la-la.com and all of it's other connotations.
He luckily sold it for 150K USD in 2000. Shortly thereafter, people stopped paying for previously registered names and started suing, especially when they did not own the originating product.
Some Canadian Kid of Indian Ethnicity owned all the North American Team names like DetroitRedWings.com. TorontoMapleLeafs.com and so forth. He ended up in court and had to relinquish all those URLs based on cyber-squatting.

This is a pretty smart idea...although I don't know if there would be may suitors for [email protected]. I mean, they only have 7 fans, right?

Long story very short:
I bought this card
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-039-04-...p2047675.l2557
The seller claimed it got damaged and he threw it away and sent me a refund withing minutes after I paid..
Fast forward to today, the same seller is selling this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-04-ITG-...item43cb57f3ab
I messaged him about it and he claims it's a different one he picked up at a show.. My problem is - other than he's lying - the autos are identical down to the tiniest flaw.. I didn't leave him a negative feedback when it happened but now I'm kind of annoyed..

Funny, I was just checking out that sakic on ebay. I would definitely be bitter about that one. It looks pretty well identical.

Another non-payer: slim007slim. He Bid on a card, didn't pay, and even his "positive feedback" are complaints from other sellers.
