Not sure what my options are with this, but I won an item and was charged $7 CAD for shipping, it didn't deter me at all since I know shipping costs have gone up. I get the item today and it was shipped in PWE which cost $1.20 stamp. I sent the seller an e-mail asking for a refund of the $5 CAD, they told me no because that covers handling, gas to the post office and his time for mailing it. Not sure what my options are, but I believe under the eBay selling rules you cannot charge people for gas/your time. Should I just leave a negative and move on?

Don't know if I'd leave a neg in this case. If the item was received in good shape, I wouldn't leave a neg. Certainly just one star on his shipping DSR, however.

That's just silly for shipping costs!!
I would leave a scathing neutral about said cost, and ding him 1/5 on shipping costs on his DSR. You did after all get the card so a negative might go a little too far, but DSR hit might be all you need to do, and then maybe move on.Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd

Sellers CAN charge for handling but that example is extreme. Leave them one star on DSR and mention it in feedback but negative is too harsh. You knew what shipping was gonna cost you and you were ok with it before hand. A positive that explains your displeasure in the shipping fee would be appropriate

Thanks for the feedback, good point about the negative, I did receive it fast and in good condition. I'll leave a 1 star on the DSR for Shipping Costs.

I've been seeing over-charging on shipping a lot lately. Twice last week someone mailed in a PWE and charged upwards of $7.26 CAD for shipping (It was listed in USD that's the conversion). Both times the seller said I am paying for handling. One seller actually said it is because he has employees to pay. Oh, and the other seller said something along the lines of 'Do you really think I care about charging more on shipping? This pays for my handling.'
Now I have a buyer who, I guess just realized he bought 1 card of 3 that were pictured and he says he will be leaving me negative feedback and I do this just to scam people out of money. I simply said '2943 100% positive feedback, yeah I'm a huge scammer'.
I realize people (always new eBay users) have complained about the pictures before but I really don't have time to list everything with individual pictures when the item is not really worth that much. I have never received a negative for that though. All my listings are clear and concise about what the listing is for.
The guy lives 25 minutes away from me. I know exactly where his house is since I used to pass it when dry-walling a fire-damaged house in the area, last year. I know that's taking it too far for $10 but jeez... how can people be so stupid? I showed him the last 10 cards and what they sold for and they were all MORE than what he paid and he expects the other two cards as well? The buyer just realized it was for only one card as I just shipped the thing today.
lol people on eBay drive me nuts sometimes. 1 negative feedback won't be a huge deal but I'm not sure how to handle this situation. Just biting my tongue for now.Master List: Hidden Content

I won one of his auctions for the starting bid, and was winning on 2 others (a previous message to him let me know that he combines shipping for free) that I was the only bidder on. With under 10 minutes left in the auctions, he cancels my bids on the 2 items and pulls them, and then proceeds to cancel my previous purchase. When I contacted him he said that it was because the cards were stolen.
Behold, 5 days later 2 of the 3 cards show up for auction again! Same guy, same cards (1 was serial numbered, so EXACTLY the same card). I contacted him and he says the police found the cards and he has them all back, so he can send me the one that I won for that price. I said, how about you send me the other 2 that I was about to win also since clearly no one was bidding on them (low end stuff, trust me). He proceeds to tell me that the police didn't get ALL of his cards back and he can only send me the 1 since the other 2 are still missing(even though 1 has been relisted and is STILL listed).
I told him no worries, I would rather run him up the ebay flagpole than buy any of those cards from him.
Anyways, I was still able to leave feedback on the cancelled order, so I negged him hard. Also reported him to ebay. Stay away from him, GUTLESS.

Check out the number of bid retractions the bidder with 177 feedback has on their account, how does Ebay even allow someone like this to keep an account. Such a joke.
