And I could think of a million players that need to be shot as well. Fact is, sports and Hollywood are pretty much in bed together now.

I tend to like a little variety in the collection hobby. So what if a celeb takes the place of a rookie that was drafted in the 325th round.

However, when I said that, I was in reference too the sports players that I like, and admire. Im a big Rod Smith fan, Ashley Lelie, Terrell Davis, Elway, and many others I can't think of right now. They are class acts, they don't run their mouths, they are involved in the community.

When I speak of being anti-hollywood, I mean: Shannon Elizabeth, Carmen Electra, and who ever else aren't great actors. I like good actor's, good movies, etc. Yes, theyre good looking, but so are girls I run into on the street, go to school with, am friends with, and plus the most beautiful girl in the world to me is my GF.

The point of my rambling is, I only look to certain sports figures as class acts, and most (some are neither class nor bad guys) are people in the same category.

There is just something that gets to me with the spoiled, no talent, attention whoring of hollywood celebs...again, its not to say all sports figures are great guys, but thats not who I was referring to when I made my comment...

I get your gripe. I could def see why it would bug people. They way I look at it is there are so many varieties of cards I just don't see the big deal.

Like someone pointed out in this thread....those cards are taking away from the normal rookies or players that could be in the set. But, are there really rookies that didn't make the cut?? You would think they would be included.

And as for pull odds, they said they understand cards like the FOTG inserts because they were in fact inserts and they had something to do with sports. Well, those could be taking the place of your pull odds instead of you getting a A-Rod AUTO, or a Big Ben AUTO....so I guess I don't see his point there.

For the people who don't like them, I'm sure they can just trade them away for whatever they are looking for. There are some of us out there that are actually trying to collect them.

It's not so much that it bugs me, its just a little weird to me. I mean, I buy a pack of FB or Basketball or baseball cards...so I can get just that, no "shannon elizabeth" or "carmen electra" cards...

I do agree with them being as useless as all the random RCs...its getting pretty bad with FB. Take Maurice Clarett for instance, the guy was cut before the PRESEASON, and he has a million RCs out. It makes it tough to collect, especially when your trying to collect one whole team! lol

And yeah, if I ever pulled one, Id prolly trade it, but then again, that can be said with many cards (I collect ONLY Colorado Teams and a few others that I went to school with...)
