Ok so I won these cards on ebay for a combined $9.62:

Nothing too Special (mostly wanted the Lebrons, jut bought others to make shipping worth it for the guy and myself). OK, soo now he wants me to pay, get this, $30 for shipping on these!!!!! Now I can understand possibly $6 or maybe even $7 but $30! I contacted him and this Is what he had to say

My auctions start at low openning bids. there are other cost to running auctions. I do not get the cards or auction for free.


Ok, isnt that the whole point of how much I pay for the cards supposed to be about this? I shouldnt have to pay extra though S&H because he didnt get what he wanted for the cards, should I?

I dont know what I am going to do but I am not paying $40 for these cards. Any advice would be helpful. Sorry for long read.

What did he originally state as the s/h costs? He can`t change it after the auction(s) end. It`s called fraud. Tell him to simply to forget about it unless he lowers the s/h charges. It`s gonna suck though if he doesn`t want to. I see negatives coming and the only thing you can do is leave negatives back unless you work out some sort of deal, especially if the s/h charges were listed.

Nope nothing was listed at all about the S&H that I am aware of

I agree with rayny1 if the guy posted his s/h prices there is nothing you can do with the exception of paying the $30 s/h fees. However, if he is simply boosting the s/h fees to cover his own losses than I would call him out on fraud. It all depends on what the stated s/h fees were though.

bummer. You know what everyone is going to say, no? You should have asked what his s/h charges are BEFORE placing bids. I would try to work something out first. You might have to pay more than what you originally wanted to, but at least you`ll both avoid the negatives. Good luck.

Post a link to the auction so we can see the shipping and what he says... Personally, I don't think he has a leg to stand on...

The only time I've seen something like this is with car audio stuff... A couple of the bigger and BEST dealers sell subwoofers...cheap... Maybe 65% off the retail price... So, like I recently did, bought two of a certain brand, cost $130 each (retail $270 each)... Shipping was $35 per... So, the total was $200... Actual shipping cost him $20.37... So, I couldn't complain, plus it was in the auction that he sold cheap, and made up most of the money on shipping...

Some do this, but IF IT Is not in the auction... ahh..

He clearly said it's $2.99 S/H per auction. He never said anything about combining shipping. So he's not doing anything wrong. While some may not like the fact that he isn't willing to combine S/H (I would be pissed) there's nothing wrong with it.

I always email the seller if they don't mention combined shipping or lower rates for combined shipping. They usually agree to do so or they already would do so to begin with. Obviously not everyone does for whatever reason.

I agree, but the fact that he said S&H was high was because he doesnt get the cards and autions for free tells me that he is not just using it all for S&H
