Well that had more to do with him not talking with the media.

Players liked playing with him but because the media didn't like him they made him to be some sort of monster and didn't vote for him for the MVP when he won the Triple Crown.

Its a lot like Eddie Murray. The guy is a very nice person but the media doesn't like him because he is a shy guy. That doesn't make him a bad person because he doesn't want to have an interview.

And you also have to remember that Ted Williams was dealing with the media and people of Boston who are NEVER HAPPY unless they win a World Series. This year I heard how they wanted to trade away Nomar and Pedro. I think that just shows how much Boston fans know about baseball.

Yeah, it's pretty sad. Boston fans want "instant gratification". In almost all cases, that isn't possible. I think they should build their team slowly but surely and for the future. They'll be a lot better because of it.

I wasn't around back in Ted's day but I know he was a great ballplayer. Possibly one of the greatest to ever play the game.
He should have just been buried in an elaborate hole in the ground than have this happen to him. It is just sad what his own family is having done to him. I also agree with Rima about when you die that is the end. You either go up or down. There is no coming back. If the guy was meant to come back to life he wouldn't have died in the first place.
