Trading him won't save the Celtics. The East is weak and they still aren't good enough to compete.

They don;'t need to trade him. They need to get rid of the old players and build. KG and Pierce are still capable of playing but they can't keep up with the other younger teams and that is what happened against the Knicks. Same reason why San Antonio is going to have issues with Golden State.

As a Celtics they need to start thinking about the future. With Rondo this year they for sure would have advanced a round or two, but as title contenders they didn't really stand a chance. The Celtics should look at every trade possible and do what is best for the future.
