I am usually a big fan of the SP Authentic and I usually buy a case each year. I was disappointed in last year's case because two of the boxes had ZERO autos and two others had only two. Hopefully that was just an off case or an off year because I do like them.

Anyways, I have been unable to find a 12-13 SP Authentic checklist so if anyone knows of a website where they may be one please post a link. The cards that I have seen on the sell sheets look great though and the extra SPX packs are a nice bonus. I do think I will wait to buy my annual case this year though because I think the price will drop alittle after the release. Thanks.

I enjoy both products for different reasons.

With Rookie Anthology, I enjoy the eclectic mix of this and that, and in not being able to predict what I'm going to pull when I bust it.

With SP Authentic, you have a staple release in the hobby that offers, in my opinion, the best RCs in the hobby. You can expect the good ole Sign of the Times hard-signs (usually with a nice checklist that is watered-down with too many crappy players... could never figure out why they do that), as well as your auto/patch case hits (of both the rookie and non-rookie variety). Even the two insert sets (HoloFX and SP Essentials/Notables) look nice every year and have become a staple. SP Authentic is perfect representation of the expression, "if it's not broke, don't fix it".

Only 2 more days until Rookie Anthology releases. Who's planning on cracking some of it open?

At $90 a box, not me. I'll wait til it gets to $75 and bust a few though. With the weak rookie crop, I don't see this one going up in value.

I think with Artifacts out soon, it might limit the cracking period on RA to just a few weeks.

Rookies for sure. The PRIZM's are awesome......... I think people that collect sports other than hockey can see the value of them.

I understand FWA and SOTT are a staple but I just like Panini's designs a lot more than UD.

I think I'm going to wait on this one, as well. The weird timing on upcoming releases does seem to squeeze the window of excitement on RA...the only x-factor here is the Prizm bonus pack, which I'll admit is intriguing. I agree price will drop - predicting $72 at D&A by end of July...
