I had a package once opened by USPS workers thinking it was something "bad". They ended up tearing it up, cutting the team bags, stomping on the Ken Griffey Jr. RC's, and finished it off by leaving a foot print on the bubble mailer. I had a flat rate full of cards left on the bottom steps on my house in the rain by a mail carrier. I had my college diploma creased in the mail because someone didn't know what "Do Not Bend" meant. Other thing mailed to the wrong area or lost but nothing as valuable as your items. I hope everything works out for you in the future with your mail carrier.

Ouch. Really the only thing you can really do about it is use UPS/FedEx, but it costs more and sometimes it isn't even offered. As long as it's in a small bubble mailer it works, but anything else and I'm screwed.

I have been having all types of dramma from the post office lately. For example I ordered a package off the bay, the seller provided tracking and while it was almost on the last leg of its journey (it made it to the Atlanta sorting center my PO Box is in Decatur, GA which is just east of the city) for some unknown reason the package was returned to the sender. I went to the post office and the clerk said the package never arrived at the PO where I pick up my mail and to check with the seller. I did and the seller was just as dumfounded as I was and he remailed the package. I haven't got the package yet. Also I had a package that I was supposed to get from someone that I deal with all the time and that the post office lost that one, I had packages mis routed (but I eventually got them) and when I get the wrong person's mail I write in big bold letters wrong address and the idiots in the post office still put it in my mail box.

United States Postal Service DOES NOT CARE!!!! They have no pride in there work and just really don't care about the customer! If there are any postal workers reading this thread and I offend you I'm sorry and you may be the exception to the rule but I seriously believe that within the next ten years there will be no more USPS.

When I was heavy dealing cards online during the late 90's, I literally sent out a thousand packages, received many, and never had a problem with poor service.

I've heard mostly good stories about the USPS but of course there are the bad ones too. Perhaps I was the fortunate one and I do realize how unhappy most of their employees are.

Are US postal carriers unionized like they are in Canada. If so that may explain a few things. I think unions are ruining the workplace.

    Cheers Mike
