    Baseballs for Autographs

Ok, so I know I've seen a forum somewhere on here about this, but what are the best baseballs for autographs? I know that ultimately, the Rawlings OMLB are the best, but are there any other baseballs that work/ hold up well? Something such as the practice balls or the like. Trying to find an alternative to spending a fortune on baseballs! Also, which pens are best for baseball autographs? All input is appreciated!!

Nothing holds up (or value) as well as an official ball. No way around it, good leather is better any way u look at it. Blue ballpoint in my opinion is the best (I always use a good old tried and true bic, proven to last over the years), as black fades eventually to a yellowish brown over a long time. NEVER use a sharpie on leather! It'll bleed into a horrible mess....hope this helps!!! Good luck!

If you can't afford a ton of ROMLB, go with a CROLB or a Little League Baseball. It's not a cheap china ball and autographs hold out great.

ROMLB or nothing at all, spend a little extra and protect your autos by getting on good balls.

Don't touch anything that isn't an OMLB. Some people have gotten lucky and their off-brand balls haven't faded over time, but that doesn't mean yours won't. If you want to have any value down the road, it has to be OMLB. If you can't afford a ton of OMLBs (I know I can't) get photos and other items signed instead.

Thats nice about your Tom Glavine ball but that's the exception not the rule, I've got an andre dawson ball on a cheapee ball and it looks completely faded.

I've got OMLB that are 15 years old and they look like they were signed yesterday.
