My biggest disappointment with a auto'd baseball I have is a Cardinals photoball I got signed by Craig Paquette and Darryl Kile.. The Paquette has bled, but isn't terrible.. The Kile, however looks like pencil at best now. It'd be nice if they made a ball that was the same quality leather as the OMLB ball that Didn't Cost $15-20+. I'm not all that concerned if a ball has all the official stamping on it, really don't see it once auto'd and displayed on the shelf.

i bought a ball at fanfest in nyc that looks exactly like an omlb but the lettering is done in black and it cost like 5 bucks

feels just like an omlb too

got it for barry lyons to sign because i didnt wanna waste a romlb on a backup catcher (felt so bad afterwards because this might be the nicest dude ever he literally gave me a hug and took a picture with me and kept thanking me for coming out to the signing)

In all honesty I would only use cheaper no OMLB balls for bullpen guys and other lesser players. That makes sense to me. Like a lot of times I Dont want to waste a OMLB on a Brewers bullpen arm so I hand them a cheaper ball. I still get their signature while not putting it on a ball that is worth more unsigned.

But if someone popular comes I pull out the OMLB ball.

That's a good idea. For good players and star prospects, use the ROMLB. For no namers, use a different ball (or a picture, I've found that 4x6's of the stadium work really well).

Even for the worse players, stay away from the really cheap balls. I have around 100 autos on $1 balls from Walmart and on most of them there is very little ink left.

That's an option I've been considering. I see quite a few lots of them always for sale on ebay.. As long as the sweet spot is relatively clear, they would work for me.

if you can, ALWAYS go with the ROMLB, with a blue or black ball point pen...but rawlings makes quality balls in general, as long as the ball isnt super cheap(like the 12 pack for 6.99 lmao) itll be OK(at best)..the sig will hold as long as its not a sharpie, sharpies are more for pictures n jerseys, not balls...NEVER have ball signed in sharpie!!!
