Scare tactics and sabotage? - have you been watching those reality paranormal shows again?

Bossa put on large shows in Calgary for many years and almost every one, was a huge success (ie) huge turn-out, quality dealers setting-up, five-star HOF's doing autographs etc. In each of these cases, the shows were held at the Deerfoot Inn Casino, which happens to be in the South. The one show where things didn't go "so smoothly", was held in the NE (ie) much lower turn-out and a few problems with people's vehicles on the Friday evening. Now, you can spin things however you like but facts are facts.

As far as "scaring" people from attending this show, no such thing - die-hard collectors will go to a decent card show, no matter what the weather is or where it is located. My point, was simply that more people will attend a show when you have it in a better part of town. Nice deflection though. Have a good show.

...never thought I would be doing this.... but I have to come to Jeremy's rescue a little here.

    1) he is putting on the show. A show is hard. A show is unforgiving. Gratitude

    2) Although you might have a point with different regions of Calgary being of different socio-economic backgrounds, I think that you are a little off when it comes to this hotel. I have also stayed there - very nice. We are not talking about downtown Gotham City here... now that said, if it turns into a scene from the Richard Riots of the 1950's... I will eat my words.

    3) This seems to be more about HOW Jeremy phrased his comments rather than WHAT he said in his comments (although I have to admit there was inflammatory language on both sides)... I caution you - don't let this argument get about ego's and personality penis measuring. It is a card show. $5... go be happy. Better yet, you should put on a card show in the area of town you think is best, charge $2 and put this one to shame. That way everyone wins... more card shows for us... and... well just more card shows for us.

    4) Not trying to be the moral police here.... but let us not throw stones in glass houses.

Be happy a card show is coming. If it is bad, mock it afterwards. If it is good, come again next year.

Oh, and I will be there... . I might even stop by the HI table to snoop for deals and say hello.

How did the show go? I wish I would have been able to make it out. Congrats on, what I can only assume was, a great show Jeremy.

Doors open to the pubic at 10:00 am, come on down and I am sure you will have a good time.

Who or what do you collect?

Do you have any photos from the show? It would be awesome, for those of us that chickened out on HW2 to see what it looked like!
