that should make you strive and work harder to become wealthy.
wealth distribution is stupid....people are just mad they're poor....go mooch off of welfare and food stamps and cry...........i am lower middle class and don't b**ch and complain or have food stamps.......would not have food stamps if my life depended on it, thats below me....someone is always hiring....work fast food if you have to,work 3 jobs if you have to...

distribution of wealth? so none of have to work we will all be given wealth?
if you haven't positioned yourself to get what you want, then it is no ones fault but yours.
taxes should be equal, you should not get a break if your are rich or poor.

I think the point of the video/chart/graph is to point out that the gap between the rich and poor is growing. If you are fine with that then your system is working. If you recognize it as a problem, your system is broken. I'm not an expert on societies and history, but I am sure I have heard it mentioned before that this is a dangerous road to go down for a society.

habs, agreed. but if the poor does not want to work and continues getting government help, most will never work, thus will not work their way up the financial ladder.
despite what some may think, the rich is not living off the back or nor stealing from the poor.
we need more jobs and more people more and more people off government help.

But if the poor want to close the gap, they depend on the rich to pay them for their work. You think the rich are just going to hand over their wealth and willingly close the gap? I don't care how hard anyone works, the wealthy will not let the workers make as much money as them, and get it all back when the poor need to do silly things like eat and live.
This idea that hard work gets you whatever you want is very romantic, but ignores every other aspect of life.
As for "positioning yourself" I was right where I wanted to be. Now I have MS and am screwed. I guess that's my fault?

I have no problems with individual wealth, but I do have problems with the influential using the government to obtain that wealth. The corruption between big government and big business may be the simple biggest problem with the USA and very few politicians want that to change.

the wealthy will not let the workers make as much money as them,
if they are working for someone, then they should not make as much as the person who owns the company, business or whatever. if you consider an employer who makes more than an employee as living off their backs, then I am unsure what to say.
and as usual there are always exceptions, the people who are handicapped, in what ever way, do need help and should receive it. the issue is many receiving help could and should be helping themselves.
