You are absolutely right, he looked really good. His problem is his coach. Unfortunately Kubiak will keep him from being a star in the league. I live in Houston. So for me regardless if he does well or not, I still like him because he was a Houston Cougar. But I do not like him enough to pay way over BV, especially since he did not knock it out of the park today. Sacked 5 times and the last was a fumble that nearly went in for a TD.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kubiak gone before season's end

I can only dream. They have been overly patient with him. Now he is just too predictable. Every single time the Texans vacated the backfield Keenum got sacked.

People say Schaub is the problem, but I think Kubiak is more so. Yes Schaub has some flaws, but he is not as bad as most make out. I think Houston read their press clippings, as did Atlanta, and did not get better. I hope Case does well and they move Schaub to another team. He is a solid NFL QB. The Texans should have the same record as ATL. I pick Indy this week.

Having been a Texans fan from the beginning, I say this with saddened heart, Matt Schaub is NOT the QB he was touted as being. His arm strength is nowhere near where it needs to be as a pro QB. His FB IQ is not what you would expect at this point in his career. He cannot read blitzes, and when he does, cannot step up to avoid them. His mobility is one of the worst in the league. Case Keenum may or may not be the real deal. He is already a hometown hero. He is athletic, and has one hell of an arm. I hope he gets ample opportunity to show all of it.
Kubiak is another problem altogether. He has become way to predictable. Even Shanahan, the author of the "west coast offense", has completely changed his play calling to suit the talent he is working with(RGIII). Kubiak also has a bad habit of "falling in love" with some of his players. He needs to wake up and realize it is his job to win, NOT be buddies with his players.
A core youth foundation exists here in H-town: Watt, Cushing, Mercilus, Foster Hopkins, and yes, Keenum. This could be a beautiful team to watch for years to come, but we need a new QB and a new coach to make it all happen.
