What a performance by Giggy! I was so impressed with the way he read the plays and was so quick in net. I could just tell the Pens were not going to get anything behind him half way through the 2nd. Tip of my cap to him tonight!

Colorado is a completely different team so far this season and it doesn't show more anywhere than with Giguere.
He seems happy now.

He probably gets to play goal on his own terms. Sometimes in pro Sports coaches are overbearing, and it's all one way, the coach's way, or the highway.

I cannot imagine having to play goal with some of the narrow-minded NHL Coaches that there are, who themselves have never played goal, yet are instructing goaltenders what to do with their game.

Every forward secretly thinks that he is a great net minder, when in fact I am the only forward in the World who is lights-out between the pipes. Lol.

The fact that François Allaire is now goalie coach in Colorado probably goes a long way in explaining why the Avs goalies are playing so well. Hardly surprising that Roy hired him considering how they've worked together in the past. As for Giggy himself, well he had to back-up his tough talk from last season about how guys didn't care enough and were talking about their post season trips to vegas instead of the games.
