In general, I have seen a pattern over the last year..... UD is trying hard to send collectors quality replacements when they have to.... Panini is sending garbage they're trying to get rid of as replacements and more often than not, collectors are getting back lesser names and lesser valued cards than the ones they were hoping to receive. I'd be very cautious with requesting a replacement form Panini these days... something I am, unfortunately, required to do for a few cards I have that will not be made. I'm already not looking forward to my replacements.

If you just look at the "name brand" for value, I agree with you. But a cursory glance at Ovy's sales for hard-signed autos these days shows that he has dropped off significantly. SSP'd and high-end stuff still does pretty well. But a card like this would maybe sell for $40-$45. The Nuge auto is about a $35 card, so it's comparable, if a slight drop off.

You deserve the card you pulled out of the pack. If a company says the card is in the pack on a checklist, it should be in there.
Say "no" to redemptions and if you do, then there will be no need for replacements.
