I love them, I still regret selling my Kadri and Reimer although I made decent coin on them. Sold the Reimer for $300, the Kadri for $175, a Tlusty for $80.
I just picked up the Morgan Rielly YG HG but paid too much ($150) in a moment of weakness. :/ Although I am happy I have it :)Last edited by JayT_59; 11-14-2013 at 02:25 PM.

Not to derail the thread too much but i'm curious to know which card was that, if you don't mind sharing.

I just unloaded my Couture HG. It was tough to do but my collecting focus changed to just going after Sateri items and wanting to add some more Game Used items to my collection. I felt it was the right time to move on it. Although I didn't get as much as I would have liked which it was sold for $315, I was definitely happy with what the return was.
I was going to purchase the Sateri Prime Shield but it was over what I had before the Couture sold so I decided to hopefully hold the money towards the end of the season and put it towards a San Jose gamer. I've seen many of the mid end and lower end players sell for some fair prices and many are up right now today, so great deals can be had.Last edited by Hockeyplaya20; 11-14-2013 at 03:13 PM. Yakupov sold for more than I paid for my Toews, which is interesting.
The High Gloss are tough to find, especially after the initial flurry of box breaks is complete.

Any Chance of a scan? Would love to see how that one looks like!
Regarding the topic on hand. I attempt to do a YG rainbow, starting from 11-12, of a top(ish) player. They are a pain to find. Pricing wise I paid 200$ for my Hodgson and 125$ for my J. Schwartz. Maybe that gives you a price range.

There is a fellow around here that collects (collected?) the High Gloss cards every year. He'd be a great resource for a question like this. For the lower-end players, you can probably move them easily enough but even those can cost. I had a Mark Fraser HG 10/10 from 07-08 UD2 and though I had it a while I finally found someone who would take it for $40. For THE Mark Fraser. If you want to go after an impact player, they will cost you big-time. But they sure look nice.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

as a lower end example, I bought 3 Beleskey HGs a few years back for about $12-20 a piece.

Lower-end players can go for lots, this is a very true statement. When I bought my Anton Lander back when 11-12 UD1 first came out, I paid more than $70. As for what I could get for it now, I have no idea (no plans to sell it), but I think it would likely be close to what I originally paid.

They are expensive but IMO not that expensive if you take into account how scarce they are. For HG /10 I know the following selling prices: Crosby 5.9k, Ovechkin 2.2k, Stamkos 1.7k. These cards do not pop up often. Compare these prices to say Cup ARP:s which you will be able to buy almost any time.
