Yea I just went thru this with a basketball auto I asked replaced after 18 months. When I got the auto it had a bv of $60 but now it has went down to $25 so I got some guy that I have no idea who it was that had a bv of $25 in return.I lost money on this redemption because they go by what the bv is right now witch I dont think is right. I think that it should go by when the card was redeemed. Who knows the Julio might of been $100 bv when you got it but no its down to $40.

Therein lies part of the issue I'm having. The Julio, I assume, had a much higher value when the product came out. Even when I redeemed it, it probably had a higher value than it does now because he is also now hurt and that rookie cards lose value over time (for the most part for most players). So should they give me a card of equal value now as compared to when I first redeemed it? I just got tired of not having anything at all.

Panini and all companies should give you something you want for the card that you redeemed since they cannot fulfill their duty. But instead they just dump whatever they have in their inventory to whoever at random with the "same book value".
