Forgot about Yandle. Way more secure than Faulk or anyone else for that matter, Martin and Oprik are much too slow for that Big Ice and will be found out in a hurry.

I think Martin will be good for the team.
Orpik, not so much.

McDonagh is one of the best d-men in the league and will likely be top 2 pairing on this team. Not just a biased Rangers fan either, many others agree, he was basically a lock from the beginning of the season. I think guys like Fowler and Faulk should have been overlooked for someone like Yandle. I understand why they left Big Buff out though

Ole Burke is still living in the Broad Street Bullys era? Haven't seen some of these guys play too much, but none strike me as overly Trunculant, Belligerent, or Goonish etc...the ref's do throw away the whistle in the play-offs, but not the IIHF!!
Isn't Torey Krug American? If he's big enough to play for the Bruin's...certainly adds some punch to the offense, has a cannon of a shot, great skater etc....too small for Burky to see his value I imagine...

A ton of hate for this team. All I'm saying is they are much better than the 2010 team that won the silver medal and beat Canada once and lost to them on a fluky goal in overtime the second game. This team has better defense, just as good goal scoring, OUSTANDING leadership and better goaltending (which other than Finland is the best in the tournament). Don't sleep on Team USA

no hate at all, just some more skill and speed is needed to beat Canada...no way they are going to win trying the 1-0 Defence deal, not with that d-corp,...Krug has 11 goals already and is a great puck mover..., burke inherited a highly Talented Ducks team, otherwise, I don't think he is too bright. Like Canada, with Yzerman, I think someone like Modanno would do a much better job. jmho!

Trying to recreate the miracle, makes me laugh. It was called a miracle for a reason.
Closest they came was last Olympics, and now they "rethink" the decision process because of one goal short. LMAO
We in Canada THANK YOU on your roster. Thanks for no Yandle, Ryan, Okposo, Byfuglien.

Yes it was a miracle at the time, but it's also a formula. In my opinion they aren't rethinking anything. They were one goal away last Olympic and this team is being built off of that team. The 2014 team is more talented than the 2010 team and they are a medal favorite in my opinion.
Yandle over fowler or Faulk, I'll give you. Ryan can score, but doesn't have the attitude this team is looking for. Okposo is having a good year, but him, wheeler, and saad can all be thrown in a hat and picked from. Byfuglien would just be a horrible fit on this team, and I love big buff.
