Ron Kittle (Chicago White Sox) - 1 ROMLB (Inscription: "83 AL ROY"), 1 Card, 1 5x7 Photo

I went to a Ron Kittle appearance in Prospect Heights, Illinois. I got a ROMLB signed on Sweet Spot with "83 AL ROY." I also got a card and promotional 5x7 signed as well. I bought some Kittle cards from Ebay but I'm still waiting for them so I couldn't get those signed! Ugh...still pleased though with how I did!

Martellus Bennett Appearance - UNOFFICIAL
Martellus Bennett (Chicago Bears) - 1 Card

Martellus Bennett was at Barnes & Noble in Deer Park, Illinois making an appearance and reading a children's book to the kids. On his way out, I was able to get him to sign a 2013 Score card. Very nice person and always willing to stop and sign!

Sports Authority Grand Opening - OFFICIAL

After getting Martellus Bennett, I went to a Sports Authority Grand Opening event in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Denis Savard was on hand to greet some fans and he signed 2 10x13 photos for me.

Ozzie Guillen Appearance - OFFICIAL
Ozzie Guillen (Chicago White Sox) - 2 Cards, 1 ROMLB (Inscription: "05 WS"), 1 5x7 Photo

I went to see former Chicago White Sox player and 2005 World Series manager Ozzie Guillen at a Jewel Osco grocery store in Chicago, Illinois. Guillen signed for me a ROMLB, 2 cards, and also threw in a promotional 5x7 photo he had with him. Guillen also included the inscription "05 WS" on the ROMLB as requested. Overall great haul from a White Sox legend.

antoine38 - I mainly use the internet and social media to find athletes. Most players use social media to promote their events so it's pretty easy to follow. There's also a great site for Chicagoland appearances called csac.biz where pretty much any athlete signing is publicized. I also use team websites.

Chicago White Sox vs New York Yankees

Harold Baines (White Sox) - 1 Card - UNOFFICIAL

Derek Jeter's last game at U.S. Cellular Field. Nice pre-game tribute by the White Sox to Jeter. I was able to get Jose Quintana on a 2014 Topps during the pre-game autograph session right at the last minute as I got to the park later than expected. Also got former White Sox legend and current assistant hitting coach Harold Baines on a card by the Sox dugout. I need to learn how to manage my time working between home dugout, away dugout, bullpens, down the foul line, etc. as I seem to be moving around the park way too much trying to get players to sign.

I went to yet another Ron Kittle appearance today. Finally had time to get Kittle's autograph again after getting some more cards of his. I was able to get 6 cards different cards signed and he threw in his usual 5x7 as well. Kittle has done at least 2 appearances every weekend since the season started and its finally nice to dig into all of the cards I have of him.

Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers
Jordan Lynch (Chicago Bears) - 1 Decoy Card

I went to the Chicago White Sox game, more of going with friends instead of trying to get autos. Jordan Lynch, former Northern Illinois QB and current Chicago Bears RB threw out the first pitch and I managed to get him to sign a decoy card. The Sox are pretty good about getting other Chicago athletes the chance to throw out the 1st pitch. I also managed to snag a foul ball (it was a liner!) off the bat of Dayan Viciedo.

PGA Champions Tour Encompass Championship - UNOFFICIAL

Patrick Mannelly (Chicago Bears) - 1 Decoy Card

I tried graphing at a golf tournament for the first time. The PGA Champions Tour Encompass Championship was in town with a bunch of celebrities and athletes also competing in the tournament. I wasn't the most prepared, but I was able to get a few things together to try to get signed. Brian Urlacher, former Chicago Bear LB and future Hall-of-Famer was competing, and signed a jersey for me on the practice putting green. Urlacher signed for everyone and was easier to get then I thought. Also, I got former Super Bowl champion Joe Theismann and former Chicago Bear Patrick Mannelly to sign decoy cards for me as I didn't have anything for them. This was my first go around with golf, and it was a trying experience. I didn't get any PGA golfers but I'm sure that I will be more prepared the next time. The PGA golfers were all willing to sign, I just didn't have a hat, towel, flag or anything else that I thought was worth it.

Comcast Xfinity Grand Opening - OFFICIAL
Dan Hampton (Chicago Bears) - 1 5x7 Autographed Photo

I went to a Comcast Xfinity Grand Opening event ini Morton Grove, Illinois. Dan Hampton was on hand to sign autographs and he signed a 5x7 photo for me with a "HOF 2002" inscription. Hampton always signs with his Hall of Fame inscription which is pretty cool.
