The reason Starquest Golds are so hard to pull, it the volume of cases and formats of the stuff UD produced. Something like 75,000 cases across, Hobby, Retail, Blister Pack, Retail Blaster etc. It's simply a numbers game.
Depending on where you are, you still bump into fresh un-opened packs of 98-99 Choice.Last edited by centrehice; 02-24-2014 at 07:40 PM.

pwaldo,
I found some additional scans in your Photobucket. These bring back memories!
$300 and $350 for the Lemieux Artist's Proofs?!

$850 for the Lemieux Topps Finest Gold Refractor?!

$2,000 for the Lemieux Select Certified Mirror Gold?!

I've heard that there were quite a bit of Select Certified Mirror Gold sets that came out of Pinnacle after their bankruptcy. Was this the case for the Mirror Blues and Mirror Reds as well as the Artist's Proofs and other Pinnacle inserts?

Best cards of the 1990s still are the best ones of that time even today, independently of the current market. If someone wants to build a collection, he will need to find these rare cards someday. I have several 1997-98 Pinnacle Press Plates 1/1 cards in my collection, I know who purchased some Gretzky 1997-98 Pinnacle Press Plates 1/1 in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and if I want them I will need to pay $800-$1200.

If you search titles in this forum for Blast or Past it should bring up all of them. I don't know if all of them are in my photobucket still. There were ones from Sports Card magazine and a few from Tuff Stuff. I think I have a few more to scan that I'll post up but most of them I threw away. I had years and years of these magazines that I wished I scanned stuff before I got rid of them because it's fun to look back at some of the articles and what was hot back then.Selling all my cards here updated as of July------------> Hidden Content
