Keep it on until end of next week. Please and thank you.
Steve Yzerman did not look please even with the win in OT. I would agree with him seeing how the team played on top of the fact Jonas Hiller is playing his butt off for the Swiss.

I haven't been a fan of how this team has been coached or managed at all. They aren't giving enough ice time to the right players, and their line combinations have bothered me from the get-go. It's true, what is PK Subban doing on the bench? He plays with that spark you need, the spark Doughty is showing with his sweet hands and willingness to jump up into the play to make plays. Hamhuis was hurt going into the tournament, probably isn't at 100% yet, little upside compared to the other guys, and his role is being filled by Vlasic. Get him out of there! I would also be happy seeing Kunitz on the bench and Duchene dressed for the rest of the tournament.

What is Martin St. Louis doing scratched? Babcock and his stupid patience lost Red Wing fans a Stanley Cup and ousted them out of 2 playoff series.
patience my arse. This is a 6 game tournament, not a 180 game season like baseball.

Babcock is doing a wonderful job. He has Tavares playing fourth line, I am sure this is exactly where Team USA, the Russians, Swedes so forth would be playing a talent like Tavares. With Stamkos not there the #1 line needs to be a #1 line, stack it up. Put JT or Getlaf with Crosby and let's get this party started. This rolling four lines and playing for the tight win is going to bite Canada. Almost cost them against the Fins, and won't get any easier with likely the Swiss next.

I don't see a problem with the defense. Subban or Hamhuis? Irrelevant. The offense needs to produce goals, period.

Keith looks like he's scared of the puck 90% of the time.

JMHO, but doesn't opening it up play right into the hands of Trap teams who will wait til the cows come home to pounce on a mistake?...or wait for their best chance, a shoot-out competition. Doughty and Weber are great adding offense punch without giving up a horrible give-away as P.K is prone to do on occasion, and in games like this, just one could be the difference.
Crosby? all the commercials that focus on only him in regards to a repeat and being essentially responsible for Canadian Gold...Yikes, he may not say anything, but the pressure on him must be ridiculous. He maybe, or is the most talented, but if I was the coach, I would have put the C on Toews and call his line the #1, even if it is in name only....just to give 87 some breathing room...

Duchene - Crosby -Tavares first line. Make it happen, Babcock.
If not, if they're going to continue to bore us, then at least focus the offense from here forward around the defense. Weber and Doughty have been Canada's two best players so far.

I'd also put Marty St. Louis on a line with Nash and leave him there, those two would go crazy together and Nash as always has shown up for the Olympics like he always does.
