But, the Heat cannot shut down Dirk. They have no answer for him. Even if Dirk is somehow slowed, there are several players that could step up and score 20+ points a night. Harris, Terry, Stackhouse, Howard.

okay what makes u think the mavs are gonna stop wade even to the slightest degree...?
who did wade just destroy hmmm detroit and who had to guard him....
rip hamilton one of the leagues better defenders...j-ho will be a walk in the park to wade...

wades puts up triple double numbers everynight on a consisten basis...

    wade's playoff stats:
    26.2 ppg
    6.4 apg
    5.20 rpg

    dirks stats:
28.4 ppg (against a smaller shawn marion)
11.90 rpg (oh woop D doo when u play against suns and memphis)
    3.1 apg
dirk and wade will get ther scores it all depends on the supporting cast

Wade only destroyed Hamilton after he had sprained his ankle earlier in the postseason. Did you forget that?

And if it comes down to supporting cast. Who's deeper? The Mavericks. They will have a better showing from their supporting cast and bench.

don't under estimate the heat...the have some big names on there roster and they all now and have scored alot in there careers...the mavs half court offence won't work against the heat...the heat have really gelled together in the playoffs and shaq is alittle more dominant inside that gasol, duncan and T Thomas don't u think? mavs have to rely on there shooting which wasn't that great against the suns

The Mavericks no longer rely on their shooting only. That's one of the positive things that Avery has done. They can drive the ball inside. And yes, Shaq will dominate more down low, but that's what fouling him is for.

It's funny, I just heard an interesting stat on SportCenter. Only one team in history has won the NBA finals against a team that they lost to by 35 or more points in the regular season. I don't think that the Heat can make it two teams.

Also, how do you think Wade will perform after getting sick. He hasn't practice in two days. Honestly, there's no way he'll be 100% and at his full ability.

Why would Wade not be at 100%? Just because he hadn't practiced for two games does not mean he wont be rarin and ready to go by the tip-off, I forget when game 7 ended, but he will have had plenty of time to rest since then?

O.K. so the Heat might have a hard time finding an answer to Dirk. IMO Shaq will be plugging up the middle so Dirk better pray his outside shot is accurate because he WILL have a hard time driving it to the basket no matter how people portray Shaq's lack of quickness and agility to be. Dirk's FG% (I may be wrong because this is off the top of my head) but I thought was pretty low for the past two games, so let's see how his shot is in the finals.

Shaq's FT% has improved thanks to his former ™™™. coach tex winter working with him, and if you've noticed has a tendency to step it up when it counts (true, most players do), but Shaq is a very important part to the team.

The Heat are not overly concerned about Josh Howard, and why would he pose match-up problems? Because of his tall and lanky arms like you mentioned, he still isn't that great a player right now? Him and Harris IMO will have nervs kick in and will probably be a little slow adapting to the finals environment.

When the Mavs double Wade, and they will, someone will be open, and my guess is Walker or Jason Williams, he dish it back out to them for an open jumper, or they can drive and set up someone else cutting or under the basket.
Like I said before, the key to the game is whether Walker's and Stack's jumper is on, if it is, they will be the difference maker(s), if not, you can leave one or both of them open.

i think j-will is gonna have a good series as well as walker...
and another thing is teams weren't as worried about j-ho so now he'll see some defence against the heat and he'll have trouble scoring

I was out of the country for the past week or so. There was no nba news at all over in Europe.
    - I was not surprised to see the Mavs make it. Take nothing away from the Suns, but you can't expect them to win a championship without Amare.
    - How in the world did the Heat beat the Pistons? That was a shocker for me to see when I got back. I guess Shaq was playing like Shaq again. But what happened to the Pistons? I thought they had Shaq's number.

what happened to the pistons was easy...they got there head stuck up there butt and thought they were invincable and after alomost losing to cleveland The heat just picked them apart mentaly and physicaly...the pistons just didn't seem to have that fire or determination as they did before same with the spurs...
i must thank you for sayin such a nice coment about the suns even after they beet LA twice...
