How many fake Gretzky's did you buy?

Just two. The guy told me he found them in a box of comics so I decided to test my luck haha.

I think the story of too good to be true might apply here, sorry you got duped
when card are "found with comics" thats a sign, most coolectors would nver have a great card like that in comic book pages

sorry, they looked nice, but when you buy for $60 that should have sent up a red flag.

good help from the community here, just a little late for you.

60 bucks is better than being had for $220 like me. :/ Paypal at least got my cash back for me.

If you really want to push it, it is illegal to sell such an item. You could demand your cash back or threaten to charge him. But for $60...

Yeah thanks a lot guys. $60 isn't a big loss so it's fine. These would not be considered reprints? Just fakes?

The only reprints that wouldn't be counterfeit would be printed by OPC. OPC did two prints of the card in 79/80. The first print has the two thin blue lines along the length of the back of card. Both are considered true Rookie Cards but some collectors will pay a premium for the 1st print. Besides the 25th anniversary OPC printed in the early 90s, that is clearly marked on the front of the cards, I don't know of any other prints done by OPC.

They really should be destroyed. But they are yours and you can do what you want with them. Have a great day.

Yeah I see what you mean. Not only straight but much clearer. This has honestly been a great learning experience for me haha, I mainly involve myself with autograph memorabilia but see so many Gretzky rookies and now I know what to look for. Thanks!
