Very impressed with LaMarcus Aldridge and the Blazers these past few games. They won both games in Houston in a series few predicted them to even have a chance in. Aldridge has been in beast mode, scoring 46 points and 18 boards in game 1, and 43 points in game 2. The Blazers' defense, which is supposed to be bad, has allowed James Harden to shoot just 14/47 in the first two games. I think if the Blazers can close out the Rockets, which is far from over, we have a chance to make it past Dallas, and to a lesser extent, San Antonio, and get to the Western Conference Finals (and get eliminated by the Thunder)

I think the Blazers are the form team right now.
They could beat anyone in the west if they keep doing this.
I think Miami and Portland will return home and sweep house.

LaMarcus, 44 ppt @ 59% from the floor, 100% from outside the arc and 81% from the line. Pulling down 13 boards a game, 2 block and 1 assist. His EFf rating is 45, Houston have to be thinking he can't keep this up.

Aldridge is one of the most underrated players in the game, and he has been for the last several years. Still, when they play a team with better defense than Houston, we'll see these numbers drop. You watch the series of the Thunder and Grizzlies, and what a step up in terms of defensive positioning, contested shots, etc.

I know, thankfully it didn't cost them the game.

The NBA probably doesn't care if the Pacers get bounced in the first round but they probably won't be happy if the Grizzlies knock off the Thunder in the first round.

Also agree, Memphis winning would be a major blow to the NBA.
I also would say that if OKC is knocked out in the first round, you can't give KD the MVP. Think about it, the MVP gets eliminated by the Grizzlies, are you kidding ?
I also think this years playoff draw will reignite the debate over top 8 from East and West or top 16 over all.
