That Ray Allen shot last year was pure luck.Great instinct on allens part to step back but he was like 2 for 20 that game.Lebron does have a good game and he is top 3 RIGHT NOW but all time give me a break I can name 8 players that re better than him probably ten.
I think what is worse is that the Spurs basically let it slip last year. I mean they easily could have won last year and this year making Lebron 1 out of 5 instead of 2/5.

I surprised how many people are now bagging the Heat for finishing second.
Do you judge your own lives with such detail ?
Nobody judged the Spurs for losing last year, in the Finals. That's sport, there is always a better team.
I'm proud of both teams, the Spurs were simply perfect across the court, every player was on fire.
I really hope Patty returns and doesnt chase the money elsewhere.

I don't remember tim duncan coming out and saying, not one, not two, not three, not four.... He simply did all the talking on the court.

Not to mention staying loyal with the one team his whole career.

Can't bag out Lebron though. He got the heat off to the perfect start in game 5 and tried to get his teammates involved but no one stood up. Every great player needs help, even Duncan didn't win all his championships by himself.

It's not all James fault, but he's the best player in the game. He should have went killer and go down on his shield. He seemed way to passive out of halftime, maybe he just knew what we all knew though, Spurs couldn't miss.

You can keep hating a guy five years on for one statement.
It was a stupid one, but they did travel to the finals in all 4 seasons.
And as far as moving, Tim is by far a rarity, along with Kobe he is the only player I can think of that has done it.
Why dont we hate Steve for joining LA ?

Honestly, I think a lot of it has to do with the age of Nash. Just as it was for Malone, Payton, Barkley, Drexler, Garnett, Pierce, AI etc, etc. They were in that "need a ring" phase we like to use.

On the subject of Finals, everyone touted the fact they made it to the Finals 4 years straight. Which was an accomplishment we all applauded. Then those same people wanted us to believe they aged overnight and are now in desperate need of another scorer.....which btw apparently has to be Carmelo. Spurs would settle for a auxiliary piece to play alongside over the hill players. Not sure why every player they get has to be a superstar. That's another reason he gets so much static.

Regardless I think the media, as a whole, needs to re-examine how they judge teams. Call the East what it is, a one team conference. It was painfully obvious that playing the Bobcats (minus Big Al), an old Nets team, and disheveled Pacers didn't do the Heat justice when they faced a team that had to go through Dallas/Portland/OKC.

They were basically given a pass to get to the NBA Finals by playing in the Eastern Conference with no competition. If people now want to make a big deal that they finished as the #2 seed in the very week east and then finished the season by getting slaughtered by the Spurs then go ahead and pat them on the back for doing a good job. But I was under the impression that people thought Lebron James was some all time great player. If that's the case then you don't brag about coming in second especially in what I consider a very weak league right now with few dominate teams.

John Stockon and Larry Bird couple other legends who never switched teams, a

Nash was 90 and has a serious back issue that a lot of us new meant that he wouldn't be playing much wherever he went? I have no problem with guys jumping ship late in there careers epically if they never got to hold a championship. Heck I was torn rooting for the 04(i think?) Lakers for Malone and Pistons for then my favorite player Ben Wallace.

But if you're going to telling about all the championships your going to win and fall really really short in a weak conference well.... Heck I'm not sure if you follow NFL but the Eagles had a self-proclaimed "dream team" that fell horribly short, and you bet the media and fans ate em alive.

Lebron does not help his cause in the media.Magic,Bird never talked this much on tv they talked on the court.Don't throw around great and not meet all the aspects of greatness.
