So you ask us for opinions ..... yet our opinions are wrong.

Unfortunately for you, the world doesnt really care how much you spend on wax, buyers do not take into consideration that you bust boxes / cases of any product when making an offer. As stubborn as some buyers are with making low offers, there are an equal amount of sellers that hold out for higher than average prices. To both those groups, they dont really affect me, goodluck to all those people buying and selling cards.

I see you dont quite know what average means. Like dahabsfan stated, there were 4 completed auctions for the Hall / Seguin. The numbers were $70, $76, $102, $160. We can all see the guy that paid $70 got a pretty good deal, and we can all see the guy that paid $160 paid way too much. Thats why in averages, you tend to take the high and the low out of the equation. Either way, the averages are very similar. With all 4 auctions, the average is about $100 per. When you take the high and low out of the average, you come to approx $90.

You stated very nicely as to why your cards are worth so much more, or have the potential to be worth so much more, but there is also a downfall to your potential. You failed to realize that Subban is one of the hottest sellers right now as hockey goes. With Montreal already losing 2 games, you'll already start to see his stuff cool off. $43 for that card right now is an inflated price. Anyone that has any sort of knowledge about the hobby knows this. How many bandwagoners are typing in "Lundqvist" into their ebay search fields right now? I buy specific Lundqvists here and there, and can see he is hotter than hes ever been on the secondary market ...

I also do not believe the time of the auctions end has much to do with the final sales anymore. I for one have not missed an auction I wanted to bid on in years. With smart phones, almost no one misses auctions due to being at work / school / other. 11AM on a Friday is a very easy time to bid no matter what time zone you are in. The only times I believe you lose out on potential bidders is later at night or very early in the morning. I also believe shipping costs, American sellers and the inability for Canadians to bid on some auctions is the main reasons we see some items sell lower than they should.

Lastly, you stated that the cards you could have gotten may have had great multi color patches. Maybe something from the Logo, something very notable from the crest or whatever ..... sure, of course those will boost your sales. Or, like many people realize when their redemptions come in, you may get a nice all white beauty. Possibly 2 solid color patches on the Hall / Seguin? We all know what that does to your sales.

Im sorry to say, but when multiple people think one thing, and someone thinks another, there is a higher percentage chance that the opinion of the many is more correct than the opinion of the few.



As for your cards, would I have taken that trade .... No I wouldnt. That Gordie is IMO hideous, but thats just personal preference. I voted "NO", you did not get fair value on your replacements. But saying you "easily", lost $100 on this replacement is incorrect

I didn't say your opinion was wrong, I'm saying your facts are incorrect. LOL, I do know what averages are buddy. What you've done is provided the mean, I look at averages. I also like to think I have a little bit of knowledge about this hobby. We will have to agree to disagree.

I don't think it was a huge loss for you but it was a loss. Montreal patches will always move better than Eberle patches.

That being said. I wish I had something for the Howe lol

definitely a loss. You are like me when it comes to ebay, sell as BIN or best offer. You always get a higher premium on your cards vs an auction. That fact, you take the auction prices out of your SV. Definitely a loss here for sure.

You should atleast have gotten a dual as from the beginning so yeah i think they got off a little cheap if you ask me... You would think they have some dual auto cards they got back lyuing to fullfill redemption replacements after the product went live or something, its like they didnt even try on this one.

You can send them back and as for a better replacement. It will take a while but probably worth it. I think you kinda got the short end of the stick as far as the time in waiting and dual patch auto and patch auto for a base auto and a PK is better the the other fella.
