End of the 1st Period, Rangers on the PowerPlay with 51 seconds of carry-over left.
Kings 1, Ranger 0.
Decent game, as both teams have had reasonably good chances on several occasions. I think this game will eventually really open up. Rangers have to go now, as there is no tomorrow.

Dwight King also has G.I. Joe Jungle-Grip Hands. He has missed two gaping open nets now in 2 straight games. Useless. He reminds me of Phil Sykes, that's how useless he is.

King takes a stupid penalty by slapping Zucarello in the chops with his stick-blade. Rangers score on the Power-Play.
C'mon Sutter, you need to bench this guy now. Trade him on Monday IF you win.Last edited by centrehice; 06-13-2014 at 10:01 PM.

So the Kings are gonna be coming out gang-busters in the third, right? Because wow if the Rangers win tonight and send it back to MSG....
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Rangers skating, Kings acting like they are shining trophies. Hagelin with a stiff-armed muscle move, gets the puck to Boyle who waits until Quick is sprawled out like a drunk, and simply shoots it into the top corner.
This is getting real. Sutter should throw a few garbage cans in this intermission, as the Kings are in a coma.

I hope the Rangers don't play the same way they did in the 3rd period Wednesday night.

That must have been so nerve-wracking as a Rangers fan. Just wave after wave of attack. It sure is great when the goalie bails out everybody, but wow...that's tough to watch.

Rangers have fore-checked a lot better tonight, and they've hustled harder between the Blue Lines. If Vigneault allows them to sit on this lead, he should be fired.
All they have to do keep skating and doing what they are doing. The greatest fear when trying to win a championship in any sport is doubt. If the Rangers win this game, the Kings will have a strong, steaming dose of doubt sent on the return of serve.
