Oversaturation is what is killing it for me. Saved up forever for a 220 dollar pack of prime. Hit a Lemieux auto /5. Sold for 75 dollars. The 2nd or maybe even greatest player in the history's auto, limited to 5, in a 200 dollar pack. sold for 75. Felt like a punch in the gut at how little things are valued anymore.

Did you put it up in an eBay auction? Because that's how you get low sales on great cards. A guy had a Lemieux auto /50 from Prime that he posted for $200 OBO and it sold for $125. If you leave it to people to pay as little as possible, you'll succeed.

That's what happens when there's to many product produced, if I want every Danny Dekeyser's RCs what over 12 of them compared to 2-3 back in the day, even though back in the day they where over produced and would be worth more if numbered lower.as a fan collector 1-3 cards of a players RC is fine but now why pay $100 for high end with AU/GU/RC. when I can get a mid high of the same thing for less, still his auto and gu rc, to many cards and glad in a way that Panini is out of the card game with only UD Standing.

Exactly which is why it annoys me that a freEBAYer would start a thread saying the hobby is dead. Meanwhile I completed 8 great trades over the past weekend so my hobby is very much alive and well, Thank You!

Meh I had some stuff listed for a month bin/obo and wasn't getting anywhere. Listed them 7 day auctions at a buck and they all ended up either close to the bin price or 3 actually went over. Sometimes it works.

Another example of what has been stated over and over in this thread. The more money you risk the more you are likely to lose. There's a paradox here. as well. You pulled a rare card, " The 2nd or maybe even greatest player in the history's auto, limited to 5" and rather than make it a fine addition to your collection you decided to cash out. That would have been a card to keep and sell only if you received an offer you couldn't refuse.

Yes, now your 18 RC's per year will have just an UD logo instead of being split between the two.

Not really limited to 5 just a parallel of the /50 plus /25 so basically the same card which are over 75 of them...plus it's just a signature. No one cares about sigs anymore.

I'm surprised you even got 75 bucks for it...lol

Plus you pay $220, wholesale is like $175, retailers get it for like $135, distributors get it for like a $100...

Suckers pay more....look at the line up of canadians paying $2700 for a case of NT in group breaks....stupidity is never dead so doubt the hobby is either .....except no one wants to buy 99% of these "hits" later.....
