Why do Liberals/Progessives Hate...........

How many Liberals do you know that served in the Military?

I can't name one, and I served 8 years. I know John Kerry Served but you know what kind of tool he is.

I didn't serve...do I hate the military too? And I do know of a couple. Being from Iowa there are tons of people who served around here.

I wish I could have served in the military. I had two huge surgeries when I was 18, and the aftermath of them disqualified me from service.

I truly don't understand all this hyper sensitive crap. Why can't we rib each other? Even if it is a little tasteless who cares, is this a Kindergarten forum? It makes no sense that someone can go on a anti-christian, anti-cop, anti-values tirade using GD every other sentence, and alot of other suspect language and it not be offensive but if you make a little fun about someone living with their parents and then all of a sudden it is way over the line.

Seems pretty backwards to me...unless you make a death threat against me, I'm pretty much letting it all roll off my back.

What is the ONE rule in discussing/debating?

You stick to the topic(s) and you do not attack your opponent.

Whether or not you want to accept it, if the topic is Christianity, I can unleash all kinds of attcks on that and my objective is not to attack my opponent.

Here I'll give you an example....

On the subject of gays and Christianity, the bible is full of nonsense, on one verse it says eating shellfish is bad, working on the sabbath is bad (and punishable by death BTW), wearing clothes with two different fibers is bad, and all kinds of stupid things no one obeys anymore.....

However, then it says homosexuality is bad, THAT is something many Christians DO obey....

What does this show us?

That many Christians cherry pick the bible and more than likely they already have some type of prejudice against homosexuals which is why they use the excuse that they only feel the way they do because of their religion..

^Do you see that, this is what I do here I attack Christianity and the bible, I try to give a good reason and logical sense for my attack.

Now beachbum, you as a Christian will probably say something about this, you can choose two options....

1) Adress my post and counterattack my comment....or

2) Ignore my post and attack me directly, make a jab at my personal life, or some other nonsense....


Which do you think is the better route???

I say both because you have gone on the offensive before. 9 times out of 10 you stick to topic but please Alex don't say you don't go at someone personally.I think we all do.And yes if I must I will dig into threads to find a sample of you doing this.Bottom line is people need thicker skin

Funny thing is I wasn't even addressing my comment to you, you really don't complain about innuendo, although you jab and run away sometimes which is a whole different topic. I've never said you don't have rights to do what you are doing but it is absolutely asinine to suggest that you don't offend christians or that what people insinuate about you is somehow worse.

My faith is my personal life, don't you get that, but fine with me if I'm offended, I'm not crying about it. But to say its not the same is just wrong....same goes with Cops if you're a cop.

And soerry if you think that I'm attacking your personal life because I attack Christianity, but Christians are the only ones that see it that way.
