In your defense, we have an accountant as well that does nothing day to day in our business decisions. He is strictly a book guy that does our numbers.

Oh, that's what research is, is it. I guess my opinion on religion is sound. I was at a funeral not long ago and the minister went on and on about all the nonsense I routinely bring up here. He must be the "be all end all" in religious matters (he's a minister after all). All my family on facebook (I know them personally) repeat the same nonsense. My research is thorough. I feel much better about my opinion. It has to be correct. I researched it.
As for my 15 year old kids. I frowned upon them getting full time jobs and moving out. For one; I like their company, two; I prefer they finish their schooling (I can't teach them everything), and three; it's economically sound for them to avoid rent/mortgage payments when I have a big enough house for all.
As of present day, they are almost 25 and 22. I still like their company and still have room in my house. Remaining in my residence is no reflection on their abilities to reason.

Our accountant tells us what and when to buy equipment. They let us know the best ways to spend our money. Not necessarily day to day but overall.

@Shrew, I count my 15 years drom about the ages of 6-21, because I still remember bits and parts of my early childhood...
I still remember going to my church's alter and accepting Christ into my heart.
I still remember many times I got on my knees and prayed, worshiped, and truly believed that God was very much real.
And yes I remember reading and studying the bible, no different as if I studied a regular text book.
Only 5 years ago if you would've told me that I would become an atheist, I would've told you that there was a much higher chance of becoming a millionaire...
But, as I've said before, I was always a liberal Christian....
I believed very strongly in the socialist message of Christ, and I cared more about NT than the OT.
I remember my first time hearing about the Big Bang and my mind was so confused...."the universe is billions of years old, our planet came AFTER our sun and other stars, do people believe this stuff"?
God created the universe, and in a precise order....I always believed that.
I told you before, but the reason why I eventually lost my faith was due to all the doubt I had, I had to put it to the test.
It failed miserably.

No, why so defensive, I never even inferred you said I was crazy, I asked you a question about Christians since you've already decided Christianity is insane, it is called a deduction. How can christianity be insane and its followers sane, that is a contradiction.
You may have thought so because you were branded that way but I doubt it was real for you, am I right?
Knowing the Bible (cognitive knowledge) and knowing Jesus (faith knowledge) are two different things, you don't even have to be a Christian to understand this principle.

This is something I get a lot nowadays...
"There's no way you were a "real" Christian, and you probably didn't believe."
I did in fact believe, and I did in fact consider myself a "real" Christian.
I believed if I lived a good life, I repent of my sins, and I believed in Christ, I would be saved.
God was very real to me.

Yes, I know what you're talking about...
In my church they would say that you needed the Holy Spirit to guide you and to help you understand god's word.
They would also say that human logic doesn't compare to god's logic, and that his ways are indeed mysterious and we can't always comprehend them, but again if you have faith and you let the Holy Spirit guide you, it can be revealed to you.
Trust me man, I know this stuff...
