I'm not a dealer but if a player is hot, I'll try and get a few of his cards for tradebait later. There is nothing wrong w/that. That's the game and it is for fun...not business.

I agree. The "investment" aspect is part of the fun of the hobby- trying to get a players who have the potential to jump in price and use them for tradebait.

Again, what the person does with a card after a deal is done is their business. If they want to sell it, so be it. It's their card and as long as I get a card that I want in return, it doesn't bother me one bit.

As I said earlier, be happy that their are people who go after hot players. Otherwise, that LJ might stay on your trade page for a while.

As long as you're getting a card you want in return, who cares if the other person is a bandwagon jumper or not?

I'm not talking about the people who pick up a few cards. Everyone has done that. I'm talking about the people who get a decent collection going of players they couldn't care less about before they had a great game. The ones that collect hot players only that arn't in it for the right reasons. In my opinion anyway, a legit collector is someone who sticks with a goal. They build up a certain player, team or set. Or maybe all HOF'er or something. Not someone who changes their want list every week to include hot players.

never said it was cause of injuries!! i said he has never played a full season, and was criticized for his work ethic by his coaches in the past...there are ALOT of guys that come into the league and get tired/injured late in a season cause they aren't used to a FULL 16 game season.

oh, and who are you to decide what can and cant be talked about on here??? its a talk forum, for peoples opinions....go read something else if you dont like it!!

People can collect for w/e reason they want, theres no wrong way to collect. There is no right or wrong reason to collect, you do w/e makes you happy.

Good point. You got me there. I guess I don't like people doing it for business because it hurts the collectors similar to me.

Trent Green has thrown for 4000+ yards in each of the last 3 season with no-name recievers. No doubt he can do it again this year.

so you think that will do that for the next 5 years?? doubt it....if yards were all that mattered in a qb's stat line, favre would have been a top 5 qb last year!! green threw 10 less tds last year than in 04 (only avg'd 1 per game last year) and his TD to INT ratio has gone down in the last 2 years...im not saying the guy is kyle boller, but he cant single handedly lead a team to the promise land. they play in maybe the toughest division in the nfl, and didn't even make the playoffs last year.

Who said anything about the next 5 years? No, I don't think he can keep it up for that long but I was talking about this season where it's very possible that he'll do it. And I never said anything about the playoffs either. I'm just going off your comment of "and those people who are talking about a 2000 yard season, not gonna happen"... I'm talking about the regular 2006 season. Not 2007 and beyond, not playoffs, nothing more.

And on the note that he can't single handedly lead them to teh SB... who has? To get to the Super Bowl you need a great team, not just a great QB.
