Can you imagine if the Oilers end up getting the #1 pick via Pittsburgh? Wow.

So BOS, PIT, and DET are all tied at 95 points. The Senators are 2 back at 93. Ottawa plays Pittsburgh tomorrow and then closes out against the Rangers and Flyers.

The Sens may run out of race track - they don't hold a tie-breaker against any of the three teams they are chasing, so they have to outright defeat them in points to move into a position.

The Tampa-Boston game to close out the season will be huge on many levels.

I just wonder if it comes down to Ottawa and the Pens for the final spot with the final game for Ottawa against Philly and they need a win if Philly would throw a game and let the Sens win to keep the Pens out.

I have a dream - that the Islanders lose out (Ottawa can catch them) miss the playoffs and they win the lottery and Buffalo gets BOTH McDavid and Eichel

If the Isles get a single point, then that dream is over, but they have Philly, Pittsburgh and Columbus (this is not far-fetched)

but if the Isles lose their last 3, the B's, Wings and Sens win out and the Pens win their last 2 (must lose to Ottawa) then it's possible.

I have a feeling the Isles will win out with OT wins vs Philly & Columbus. Possibly a Shootout. I'm hoping the Pens are on full collapse mode and Ottawa jumps them.

So here's a prediction for you - the Wild are going to go 0-3 in their last three games and will miss the playoffs.
