1st off. I was wrong about Fleury. I knew so after the first 2 games but I didn't want to jinx it and admit it then. He played a damn good series.
2nd. Malkin must be injured.

I agree on both points because Malkin usually is a thorn in the Rangers side and it was obvious he just didn't have it this series.

With stuff like that, it just wasn't meant to be for the Pens.

Whew! Glad to get this over with, although the Rangers won the series 4-1, there were times I felt like the Penguins were the better team. Our defense and Henrik get us out of so much trouble it's ridiculous. The Rangers played great at times, but a far cry from our dominant play at the end of the season. I think we stole one in game 4 and the argument can be made for the same in game 5. We were getting peppered in the 3rd. Credit to the Pens defensively, if they had ANY scoring, this would have been a seven game series.
Well, onwards and upwards, hoping for the Caps as we played them tough all season, not to mention I would like to shut up the local CAPS fans, they are the worst!

Ok so our Penguins season is over and I must say we did put up a good fight in all 5 games, each game was won by only 1 goal. Most people were saying the Penguins would get killed and be out in 4 games.
I think Marc andre Fleury was awesome this time around, its just the offence was not there to support him.
I think the injuries to our key defensive players, Maatta/Letang/Erhoff/Pouliot was just to big to get over.
Malkin was not 100%, the knee injury was still an issue, but he played and tried to do the best.
Congrats to the NYR, good luck in the next round and to all my Fellow Penguins fans, don't worry too much next season we will be better, we need to make some changes in the summer but watch out for us.
