    When you say common cards, I'm thinking of 1980's cards of scrubs you didn't know existed. It becomes more worthwhile if your "common" cards are base cards of newer sets, because most of those guys are at least at "minor star" status.

    While I'm watching the Yankees play I have all my boxes around me and will pull out all of the Clemens or all of the Bonds (acutally I already have several books full of these guys already seperated from the less known players) so the only boxes I have to go through would be the ones from the beginning of this season...not so bad. I also have to go back through ALL my boxes and pull all my rookies...then I can start to get rid of the 'junk'
