14-15 Masterpieces Rookies Auto Print Runs

Hi All,

Just attempting to figure out the print run on the regular Masterpieces Rookies Auto Print Runs, check to see if my logic is right here. I busted a 20 box master case and had the following breakdown of a couple of the numbered inserts:

Red Cloth /100 - 28
Black Leather /50 - 20

On a 180 card set, assuming Red Cloth numbers are correct:
180*100 Red Cloths = 18000 Red Cloths total
18000 Red Cloths / 28 in a master case = 642.85 Master Cases produced
642.85 * 2 Auto Rookies/Master Case = 1,286 Auto Rookies
1286 Auto Rookies / 15 Rookies = 86 Auto Rookies Each

On a 180 card set, assuming my Black Leather collation was more accurate:
180*50 Black Leather = 9000 Black Leather Total
9000 Black Leather / 20 in a master case = 450 Master Cases produced
450 * 2 Auto Rookies/Master Case = 900 Auto Rookies
900 Auto Rookies / 15 Rookies = 60 Auto Rookies Each

So I've come to the conclusion that (barring SPs within the Auto Rookies which there probably are) there should be a print run of 60-86 Auto Rookies for each rookie, of the regular variety.

Seem logical? Either way, that's a pretty scarce print run - scarcer than the /99 Ultimate Rookies...

I bought 4 boxes and got 2 rc autos, are they that rare?

They're 1:120 packs. I had 2 in 20 boxes from a sealed master.

Sounds pretty reasonable... in order to meet the stated at least one memo, one auto and one additional memo/auto card that UD says are in each box, my math says there are at most 16500 boxes, but given the rate that red and black parallels are coming out, it definitely looks like the number has to be lower than that, so 650'ish master cases, ie 13k boxes sounds about right. Only thing to note is the checklist seems to show 178 Calle Jarnkrok was not made in the signatures subset so only 14 auto'ed rc's not 15, which bumps the print run estimate up a tad.

Yes, probably a bit lower, 2 of my 4 boxes contained an extra hit, 2 autos and 2 jerseys.

Your math seems correct, but I would also venture to guess that UD might have the print runs of any individual card all over the place.

Argh, I did... I just accepted an offer on the Black Framed Leather /50. I have the regular base jersey still, I think that's it...

The sell sheet says 1 Cloth or Leather Parallel per box.
So, 18,000 Cloths + 9,000 Leathers = 27,000 boxes/20= 1,350 Master Cases
405,000 packs/120=3,375 total Rookie Autos/14 Rookies=241 of each Rookie Auto.
Either the sell sheet is wrong, or you had a great case.

Could be either way really... it has been known to happen where UD will load up a product on one year to get some hype up, and then the following year under-deliver on that same product. I could see it happening here, on a LOT of products this year, as it's a down year RC-wise... next year with McDavid I'm expecting all sorts of weak cases...
