Preview: 2014-15 Leaf In The Game Used

When Leaf Trading Cards merged with In The Game, it ended up acquiring a strong library of vintage hockey memorabilia that could possibly only be matched by the Hockey Hall of Fame itself and the company will be putting some pieces of it in the hands of collector with 2014-15 Leaf In The Game Used when it hits the market in time for the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago on July 29.

Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of this collection will be the 50 in 50 Cut Signatures which celebrate the 70th anniversary of Maurice Richard becoming the first player in NHL history to score 50 goals in 50 games. He accomplished this feat back in the 1944-45 season and each of these cards (limited to 50 copies) will feature an authentic cut signature from the iconic superstar. Leaf has also noted that there will be In The Game Used Autographs.

Give me something to collect. Leaf has been pretty dismal on the market and Upper Deck is a money pit.

That memorable 8 is crazy good though. I haven't bought anything since the expo cause Masterpieces wasn't as good as 08-09 so I haven't been interested in anything. Which is good, it gave me time to work on master sets of ITG.

Help me Obiwan Leaf-obi, you're my only hope.

Back when athletes actually had pride in how they comported themselves. Now you're lucky to get a little chicken scratch, and if he doesn't include his number, you have no idea who it is.

Honestly, I did struggle with the idea of putting 50 cut signatures of Richard in here, but in the end I thought it made sense. A realistic chance for people to actually pull a Richard auto. the number 50 in this case is significant, so why not. This product should be out at The National.

If I may ask, what has been dismal? not offended, just like to know what works and what can be improved. Heroes and Prospects and Signature Series have been met with mostly positive experiences and both sold out very quickly. I think ITGU will as well, the checklist is outstanding!
